In Dennis memorial grammar school students are divided into 2 categories: - The prefects and ordinary students. The school’s management gives some well - behaved students the post of prefects. The duty of a prefect is to assist the school authority in controlling fellow students since they will be closer to the students more than the staff. The posts given include :- (1) Senior prefects (S.P) (2) Deputy Senior prefects (D.S.P) (3) Library prefects (4) Sanitary prefects (5) Labour prefects (6) Dining Hall Prefects (7) Utility Prefects (8) Disciplinary prefects (9) House Prefects (10) Games prefects Prefects are expected to control students under their duty post. Library prefects controls students in the library and assist the librarians in guarding the library books and facilities. Ordinary students should respect the prefects and no prefect is allowed to bully fellow students. Various companies are organizing competitions and quizzes for students in the school. And prizes or scholarships are awarded to the winners of the competitions. Students of the school debate with other neighbouring schools on various topics.
