SCHOOL’S RULES AND REGULATIONS:-

 

  1. Staff quarters are out of bounds to all students except for official reasons or in cases of emergency.
  2. Students who feel aggrieved by a member of staff should report the case to the principal or even direct to the principal.
  3. Students should show due respect to their teachers and the entire staff of the school, tutorial and non tutorial.
  4. No students should inflict corporal punishment or any form of torture on other students.
  5. Fighting or bullying among students is prohibited. All serious cases of quarrelling are forbidden. Any aggrieved student should report to the prefect or house master or any teacher.
  6. Before any cases gets to his parents, the student should ensure that the principal has been informed.
  7. No student is allowed to make a servant of a junior student. Fagging is prohibited.
  8. Punishment given by prefects must be fulfilled. Complaints against the punishment can only be entertained after the punishment has been done.
  9. All junior student should show respect to all senior students and the senior students should enlighten the junior students by good examples.
  10. BEGINNING AND END OF TERMS:-  

On the day of reopening, all boarders must return to school before 4.00pm. there should be a roll call after 6.00pm on that same day. Late returnees shall be dealt with appropriately.

  1. All boarding fees must be paid in full on arrival and not later than one week after reopening. Students who have not paid their fees after one week should be sent out of the boarding but their chances must not be filled unless the student so sent away fails to return within one week of being sent out.

 

Withdrawal from boarding:   The student should inform the school one term in advance.

12.  All tuition fees must be paid in full on arrival and in any case not later than two weeks after arrival. Student who fail to pay their tuition fees after two weeks will be sent out. No part payment for boarding or tuition shall be accepted.

  1. All students who come to school should remain in school till school is over. If a student has permission to go out e.g. to the hospital, he must carry his hospital card with.
  2. Stealing, selling and buying from fellow student is a serious offence punishable by suspension or expulsion.
  3. Loitering during classes is prohibited. It is forbidden to sit about at the gates or hang about on the roads or at the junctions or the school block or dormitory veranda or sitting on the classroom walls.
  4. The behaviour of all students within or outside the school should reflect a good image of this institution. Any behavior that dents or tarnishes the image of the school attracts a severe punishment.
  5. Only the official school uniform must be worn during the term, whether in the campus or outside it. All students must appear smart and clean. Students must wear their shirts properly tucked in. No long sleeve shirts and trousers are permitted. Brown sandals (buckled) should be worn.
  6. There is a day dress and a Sunday uniform for all boarders. Unauthorized dresses including shoes should not be brought to school. There shall be periodic searches and unauthorized dresses shall be confiscated. Social gathering must be in school uniform.
  7. Every student is expected to take part in P.E. and games and to participate in at least two sporting activities.
  8. Every student must be a member of at least one school club or society. No society activity can be planned without full consultation with the master in charge. No single club is permitted to organize ball-room dances or hire any sound equipment. However cultural societies are permitted to organize cultural dances.
  9. Students must take proper care of all school equipment or furniture. Damage to any school property or loss will be paid for.
  10. The entire school compound should be kept clean .
  11. Smoking and taking of alcoholic drinks or dangerous drugs are strictly prohibited and merit severe punishment.
  12. Fighting and the use of anything that will inflict injury on a fellow student is prohibited. Offenders should be summarily dismissed.
  13. All forms of strikes, demonstrations, and rioting are strictly prohibited, and are punishable by expulsion. Students should make their grievances known to the principal directly or through the opinion box.
  14. Punctuality:  All students are bound to be punctual to all school activities. Students loitering around after the final bell must bell must be punished.

BOARDING REGULATIONS:

DAILY ROUTINE;

 

1.      Wakening bell should be at 5.30 am followed by morning duties, physical training, cleaning, bathing, breakfast and preparation for classes.

  1. Lunch is followed by rest period which is compulsory for all boarders.
  2. An afternoon prep is followed by games, society meetings, compound work as scheduled in the school daily time-table.
  3. These activities are followed by bathing, dinner, and compulsory night preparatory studies or home work, supervised by Master/Mistress on duty and prefects.
  4. Junior lights out is at 9.00pm.. Senior lights out is at 11.00p.m. It should be a serious offence for any student to engage in any form of study, play, or entertainment between lights out and rising signals.
  5. No student should sleep outside his dormitory and no two students should sleep on the same bed.
  6. Students are not allowed in the dormitory during school period or during games. The dormitory must be locked during these periods.

DINING HALL:

(a)   No food may be removed from the dining hall except for invalid/blind students. No food other fruits, may be taken into the dormitory. Nothing maybe eaten in the school block at any time.

(b)   All meals must be shared equally among students, irrespective of class, age or size.

  1. Illegal electrical connection is prohibited. Damaged materials must be paid for and/or the students be asked out of the hostel.
  2. All unauthorized dresses, gadgets, radios, etc. seized shall not be returned to the owner(s).

 

OUTINGS, VISITS, E.T.C:

 

1.      All outings must be through the gate. Breaking of bounds is a serious offence. Scaling of school wall (fence) is prohibited and punishable by the student adding two layers of block on the existing wall.

2.      There should be a maximum of three visiting day term. The visiting day is first Saturday of the month. All visitors, should leave the compound before 5.30pm.

3.      The dormitory and its precincts are out of bounds to all visitors including day students.

4.      There should be a maximum of TWO  outing days in the term as will be specified by the school.

5.      Boarders leaving the compound must obtain signed exits from the appropriate house master/mistress. They must carry them and present them on demand by any member of staff or prefect.

SANITATION:

1. There will be daily inspection by the master/mistress on duty of dormitory quarters, refectory, kitchen, and toilets, and points should be scored in houses and classes.

2.      Every Saturday, after general inspection and parade, the result of the whole week’s inspection should be announced.

3.      At no stage should a student or a class of students consider themselves above manual work. Taking provisions from junior boys in order to exempt them from certain duties is a serious offence.

4.      Students are not allowed to keep more than fifty naira (N50.00) at a time. Where a student has more than this, the remainder should be kept with the house master or any teacher. The school will not entertain any case of loss of money exceeding N50.00.

5.      Pocket money of two hundred naira (N200.00) is recommended for the average student.

EXAMINATION MALPRACTICE:

Examination malpractice in any form or shape will be viewed seriously. These include:

 

1.      Bringing unauthorized materials into the examination hall.

2.      Stealing, converting or misappropriating the scripts of other students.

3.      Substituting worked scripts during or after examination.

4.      Smuggling in or out of unworked answer script into or outside the examination hall.

5.      Collusion

6.      Impersonation

7.      Leakage/fore Knowledge

8.      Mass Cheating

9.      Insult/assault on supervisors/Invigilators
